ABOUT MEAND MY WORK
Deepak Sharma was born in 1985, Paldi Katara – a small village in Udaipur, Rajasthan – where he was grown in a middle-class family amidst serene surroundings that helped him explore his passion and thus gain extreme knowledge about art and craft. His artwork reflects an ingenious vision shaped by his father, Bapu Lal Sharma, an excellent artist himself.
Since childhood, Deepak has been interested in Pichai paintings; no wonder his adventurous and experimental nature has made him a renowned name within the 'Pichwai Art & Craft' segment. Deepak is among the few painters who love to research traditional paintings' literature before creating their work, and over the years, he has grown up as an accomplished artist.
Although Deepak is a master in numerous art and craft segments, the favourite subject that brings an inner passion to him is 'Pichwai art'.
Not only does Deepak loves to create a perfect blend of modern and ancient times - that's also reflected through his artwork- but his approach to art is something beyond a medium.
"In his collection, you can find Rajasthani's finest traditional and in-depth artworks. Besides, Deepak has also been acclaimed by leading magazines and credited with some great works that haven't been created earlier. Thus, it wouldn't be incorrect to mention that Deepak has already written a history in the art segment", cited by art critics.
Deepak creates masterpieces that speak for its natural beauty. His insatiable wanderlust and want to feel the world's grandeur has led him to bring some new frames within the section of miniature paintings that bears the essence of Mewar.
"Most of my time spent in sketching and painting Radha Krishna, and I have crafted some brilliant pieces of artwork that you'd rarely find anywhere. Apart from this, my inclination to create paintings depicting Pichai's histories encourages me to strive for more"- Deepak.
